Greetings all,

I've been a member of APUG for a while, and even posted a few times, but I never posted an introduction of myself for everyone. I started photography in high school, with 35mm, and then studied it for a few semesters at college, where I was introduced to 120 and 127(!) formats, and later the magic of 4x5. After all those 12-hour days in the lab, I burned out pretty badly, and put down the cameras for 12 or 13 years. I've been getting back into it over the past couple years, and I'm once again having a great time!

I've about finished collecting all the bits and bobs for my dark-closet (no extra rooms, so a closet will have to do for now), and a little while ago I made my first print since 1990. Yahoo! It's all starting to come back now.

Welcome,

There are a number of us, that like you, put our cameras down for a time only to revisit photography later. Good luck to you.

Glad to see you're back in the fold, Will! Come on in, the water's fine :)

There are a bunch of us Texas Apuggers and a number down in the Houston area.

Yeah, it's like falling off a bicycle ... ;)

Welcome, Will.

There's APUGGERS in Houston, DFW, Austin, SA et al. APUG is lousy with Texans! :)

Hope your closet is big enough!

Cheers

David

Hey Will,

I'm another Houstonite on the APUG roster. I do alt-process/ULF/Holga/35mm/MedFormat. I'm your basic process slut.

Clay,

Are you sure that you're from Houston? In my first 20 years, all spent in that area, I never heard anything other than "Houstonian". Maybe it's just a sign that I've been away too long. :)

Welcome Will from another (misplaced) Texan.

I'm actually a transplant. I just always thought that Houstonite sounded like kryptonite, and seemed appropriate for some reason. Maybe my geology background.

LOL! You had me going for about 5 minutes with that one, David. Thanks, I needed that! :)

And thanks to everybody for the warm welcome. It's good to be back into the analog fold.

Hi Will!

Also in the Houston-ish area. And rather new to APUG--but totally addicted!
