my wife works for some magazine about gypsies so she made some photos of them, and this is first time we scanned some photos since in serbia its too expensive to do that. tell me how do you like these photos.

They appear good. The only thing I would say is try to include more in the bottom of the frame, the children have their feet 'cut off' in the first three photos, which is a little distracting. The final photograph 'Light' I like very much, but the one that really hit me was 'Sisters'! I think the use of black and white has added to the content,

good stuff! I'd suggest you go back and shoot as often as you can. There are lots of stories to be told.. I got the feeling of looking "in" from the outside.. I bet the sights from "inside" are tremendously powerful. There are many, many, many people, my friend, who don't know that human life can be so simple, so hard, and still so alive. Photos like these can help to open up entire worlds to people who would not/will not ever see this reality.

Also - is the Gypsy culture dissapearing? If so, that would add a degree of importance to documenting their lifes.

i think that there is not much left of their culture. white culture try to stop their vandering and to make them to live in houses of flats. and they like to move and to live and not to stay a whole life on one place.
btw u told us too shoot as often we can.. in fact we have a tons of pictures but in paper not in digital format. when we get money we will transfer them. :)

I like "no name.jpg" and "light.jpg". I didn't get a sense of intimacy from the other pictures. They seem like "I'm staying far, removed, and use this zoom lens".

My favorite is 'no name.jpg', seems like the time you hit the shutter button was exactly the right one. The two boys behind the armchair, personally I'd like them to be in focus.

One other thing is that all most of the pictures are taken from an adult perspective, meaning high above the kids.

You may want to try a few crouching down a bit to get kind of a kid perspective.
