Hey...where's my wine? Don't they have buckets of free wine at openings?
All the best to Sean and everyone else!!!!!!
Murray Thanks Murray :) I'm just finishing up a few little bits but for the most part it is now 100%
I look forward to a huge collection of work showcasing our craft. As I said in a bulk email to the sellers it is an honor to represent so many fine photographers and I will do my best to provide a high level of service for everyone involved.
Thanks to everyone for the feedback and assistance over the last few months on this project! Once the collection gets a little larger I'll kick in some advertising campaigns.. Jim Moore 12-09-2005, 09:48 PM Thanks Sean for all of your hard work on putting this together.
I think that this is something that can really take off.
Great work as always!
Jim David A. Goldfarb 12-09-2005, 09:49 PM Hmmm...., maybe we need to put a bottle of cheap chardonnay and some cheese cubes into the Traveling Portfolio. Charles Webb 12-10-2005, 12:37 AM Just visited the new gallery, very impressive!. I believe this could be the begining a great things. For the most part the work shown is outstanding.
The hard work that went into making this "happen" is greatly appreciated!
Happy sales to all of the participants! Charlie................ Paul Sorensen 12-10-2005, 01:39 AM Hey...where's my wine? Don't they have buckets of free wine at openings?
I don't know about you, but I had my bucket. :D
I agree with everyone, the images are beautiful and it is a wonderful opportunity. What is being done to market this site to the public beyond APUG? MattKing 12-10-2005, 02:35 AM Hmmm...., maybe we need to put a bottle of cheap chardonnay and some cheese cubes into the Traveling Portfolio.
The chardonnay might travel, but the cheese? Phew
The gallery photos, now they are great. Great work Sean, and all the best to all the participants who are displaying their fine work.
(I so miss having a darkroom!) DarkroomDan 12-10-2005, 02:46 AM I just spent about 15 minutes truing to find the new site. I am a member and I could not thread my way through the menues to get there. This is a really a grate new feature for this group and should be easy to find from any page that gets you here. I have found the gallery before but I do not remember how. I have seen work I would like to buy and, later, plan to post some of my own.
My point is, on any page there should be an unambiguous link to this gallery. What is being done to market this site to the public beyond APUG?
Currently we are in the 'building the collection' phase. Also during this time I will be working to get the site indexed on the main search engines and added to various link directories. I'll also be adding some links to the gallery on APUG.ORG. The next phase will be advertising in some key magazines. I am also considering creating some info packs to be mailed to businesses who could benefit from such a gallery (interior design firms, corporate artwork firms, etc).
Thanks for the nice comments everyone! DarkroomDan 12-10-2005, 02:52 AM This is the second post I made tonight that really needed Spell-Check. Proof reading is my fault but I did try clicking Spell-Check both times and it did not work. Yes I should not rely on the machine but who ever is running the machine needs to check it more often. Don't know about the spell checker Dan, but you can get into the Gallery through a link at the bottom of the Home Page.
Or HERE (http://www.apug-gallery.com)
I'm sure Sean will have the front page links posted soon. Dave Miller 12-10-2005, 03:30 AM Sean, When you have time, can you post a Logo similar to the downloadables at the bottom of the Home Page, but for the Gallery. I would like to put a link on my site back to the Gallery. roteague 12-10-2005, 01:58 PM I added a link from my website to the new Gallery, I assume Sean doesn't mind, now that it is live. Even though I don't have any prints in the Gallery, I wouldn't mind having a logo to post on my site as well. |
