Anyone going to Focus?

http://www.focus-on-imaging.co.uk/

I'm definitely going one of the days - it is easy for me because I live in Birmingham. I was wondering if anyone else was going and what days?

I read that Les McLean will be demonstrating on the Ilford stand.

I believe that Lee Carmichael will also be there with Les doing the Ilford thing.

Hello Matt,

I have been going FOI for the last five or more years, and I enjoyed each visit.

However, when I considered the costs...

Fuel to and from London

The 7 parking fee

The 6 entrance fee

Potential loss of income (I am self employed)

and my current want's...

A new copal 1 shutter

The shutter has won.

Maybe I'll make it Bi-Annually?

Jeremy, it's the Silver Conference in LA that Lee is going too with me, it's a long way from Texas to Birmingham UK.

If anyone from APUG is at Focus I'll be spending half a dayfor the first three days doing toning demos, including the first public appearance of their new selenium toner, on the Ilford stand. I'll also be doing digital demonstrations on the Fotospeed stand for the other half days. Please come and have a chat in my breaks, it'll be good to meet fellow APUGERS. I'll be missing Wednesday as I'm travelling to LA for the Silver gig.

I used to go and enjoyed it a lot. But inevitably in recent years the focus (no pun) has gravitated to digital and it has far less interest for me now. Also as I live 80 miles away the cost of getting there & probably having to stick the dogs in kennels for the day rather rules it out. Oh well!

I'm hoping to get there. No excuse this year since at the moment am working on the Birmingham Business Park which is just around the corner. Had hoped to avoid the 7 parking but it's probably still a 2 mile walk unless can con a work colleague into a lift so will no doubt fork out the parking fee. Have been saying for last few years would go so this year seems the best chance to take a half day and go! Just curious to see what actually is exhibited.
