Any models produced, particularly interchangeable lens SLR's, that had infrared remote release?

Contax slrs have one that you can add on. The lenses aren't bad either.

Canon New F-1 and I think the A-1 and other late FD models had this option. The motor drive has a subminiature phone socket for a simple electric release (just a switch), so any IR or radio trigger will work. I use a 100-foot electric release cable made for movie cameras with my New F-1.

The Minolta Maxxum 5 QD has IR built in and the remote is quite inexpensive.
