Happy to find this great family of traditional photographers and printers. I thought of sharing with you just a few words about me.
I've been shooting 35mm for many years now with my old trusty Canon AE1. B&W remains my passion, but I enjoy shooting slides and colour neg. here and there. I like to try new stuff. Recently I made a big upgrade to LF with 8x10 field camera. I could not resist the temptation of building one myself. In the end I was glad I did, eventhough it took so much longer than I thought. I will be using it much more as Spring is coming to Montreal. I have a lot to learn, so APUG will certainly will be the learning source for me.

What I was also happy to see in APUG is the postcard and blind print exchange. What a great idea! It is nice to browse through the galleries, but to see other's work in real print......I can't wait.

Anyway, take care everyone...till later
I put the pic of camera here (http://www.apug.org/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=13842&cat=502) if you interested.....

PS. Just a little anecdote. The day I discovered APUG and after the usual registration, I opened the forum pages and what do I see? "8x10 enlarger to give away in Montreal." My heart was beating like a drum. Well, I was too late. I think that would be too much of a good luck for one day.

Hey Metod welcome from Montréal as well! Are you francophone too? I've been passing the word about APUG around so I always hope to see a local chapter of the new faith...

Oh man, I know...I will probably miss the Conference as I started new job recently and work the weekend shift. But I'm telling all my friends in Toronto ta attend. Just in case, if anyone stuck in Montreal, or badly needs a place to stay, let me know. Montreal is about an hour of flight or 5 hrs drive to Toronto.

Hey Michel, good to know that you are in same town....I speak french well enough to get along :-)

Metod,
Welcome to APUG! Pity you could not make the conference next month, its going to be a lot of fun. Montreal was my home town, I lived in a little community called Montreal West sandwiched between NDG and Ville St. Pierre up until I was in grade 6 then my dad transfered and we all moved down to Toronto. I still root for the Habs even though I have been down here for 26 years.
