Somehow I’ve managed to get a piece of lint or dirt stuck under the clear plastic dial on the front of my trust Luna Pro. I’m afraid it will eventually migrate through one of the openings in the dial and get into the inner workings. I’ve tried to blow it out with compressed air, and vacuum it out but all I can seem to do is move it around under the cover. Does anyone know how to take the clear plastic face off the front of the meter so I can clean it out?

If my experience can serve as your guide just leave the dust alone. Taking the dial off for me was a disaster! I retired the meter after that.

I have the profisix, which as far as body build goes, is essentially the same meter.

I had the same problem about 15 years ago where a few grains of dirt, or whatever, got under the clear plastic part that rotates. My bit of dirt got into the bottom area marked "LW V EV" well I've just checked it, yep there is some discolouration but everything is eminently readable.

At the time I took it to the official repairer and his suggestion was leave it alone and live with it. I gathered that pulling these things apart is one thing, putting it back together is another.

I've lived with it and the meter has had no ill effects.

Mick.
