Dave Wooten 07-04-2006, 04:09 PM Thanks Robert, FYI It doesn't give good results with Velvia :p naturephoto1 07-04-2006, 04:15 PM Thanks Robert, FYI It doesn't give good results with Velvia :p Dave, The results could be interesting however. :D ;) Rich roteague 07-04-2006, 04:15 PM Thanks Robert, FYI It doesn't give good results with Velvia :p I don't think it could lure me away from Fuji Crystal Archive. :p L Gebhardt 07-04-2006, 08:21 PM I also have a box of 20x24 Grade 3 Azo up on eBay at this time. The buy it now price is high, but the reserve is way less than the last box of 100 8x10 sold for on a per sheet basis. c6h6o3 07-04-2006, 08:49 PM Michael and Paula have tons of this stuff (Canadian Grade 2) left. It's the older Grade 2 made in Rochester and Grade 3 that are gone and are worth fighting for on Ebay. Patrick Kolb 07-09-2006, 10:06 AM Michael just posted on the Azo Forum that he only has grade 2 in 20x24 boxes. He is out the 100 sheet 8x10 boxes and will check on the 500 sheet boxes of 8x10 when he gets back in two months, he may have a few. c6h6o3 07-09-2006, 10:35 AM Michael just posted on the Azo Forum that he only has grade 2 in 20x24 boxes. Bummer, although a 50 sheet box of 20x24 yields 300 sheets of 8x10 after cutting. Patrick Kolb 07-09-2006, 12:16 PM Easy enough to do. I have even cut my 8x10 TMY film down to 5x7 to use up before it goes stale. It's always nice to have options. Also, Michael posted his results on the latest Amidol test. Sounds like it's a go with only a small change in chemistry. c6h6o3 07-09-2006, 02:45 PM Easy enough to do. I have even cut my 8x10 TMY film down to 5x7 to use up before it goes stale. Yeah well the Amidol purchase has sounded like a go for about a year and a half now. I'll believe it when I see it. What's this "small change in chemistry" you mention? I didn't see that in Michael's post. I don't like the sound of any word such as "change" or "adjustment" viz a vis this deal. Such words are almost always euphemisms for "further delay". David A. Goldfarb 07-09-2006, 02:52 PM Here's Michael's thread-- http://www.michaelandpaula.com/mp/AzoForum/one.asp?ID=9818&PgNo=&GID=9818&CID=1 He mentions that he increased the KBr by half to get the tone he wanted. c6h6o3 07-10-2006, 07:44 AM Here's Michael's thread-- http://www.michaelandpaula.com/mp/AzoForum/one.asp?ID=9818&PgNo=&GID=9818&CID=1 He mentions that he increased the KBr by half to get the tone he wanted. I feel better then. When I read the post the allusion to higher concentration of KBr didn't really register as a "change". Their standard dose of KBr has been 3cc for some time now, and certain negatives require even a little more. Azo has gotten colder as time marches on. |
