Hi my name is Chris. I am a passionate photographer who loves delving into all aspects of the medium - from searching for equipment, to chemistry to printing and to framing.
I believe removing yourself from the physicalities of the photographic process and therefore depriving some of your senses of the experience (i.e doing most of your imaging in front of a monitor) severely limits and restricts your creative potential. I love loading my spiral tanks with film in a dark bag with only the aid of touch, standing in a cold darkroom watching a print come up or the smell of the chemicals when I go to my lab to pick up my processed color film.
I shoot mainly 35mm and medium format. Minolta and Rolleiflex respectively. Which (in BW) I usually shoot with APX100, APX400 and printed on Agfa Fibre base paper. (Thankfully I stockpiled a pile of each before the company went belly up and should last me a year or two depending on how much I shoot). I also shoot alot with Kodak and Fuji color negative and slide films.
Anyway I'm really happy to have come across this dedicated community.
