Has anyone out there used anything aside from Epson printers to make digital negatives? If so, what are your experiences, or suggestions?

Use at your own risk. Historically the HP inks have been rather inadequate for making digital negatives that require a UV light source. I would reccomend that you learn about blocking colors (if you are not already familiar with them) and see if you can have an HP dealer make some test negatives for you.

Their new printers do look interesting but I'm waiting to get more feed back about their performance. Could be that they are the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Google returns info on scrapbooking stuff when "Blocking colors" are searched.

I haven't been making digital negs for my carbon stuff but I do have an HP 9800 I use for work. So I have some interest in this thread.

How about having some HP cartridges refilled at some of these places that do that sort of thing?
Is there a specific type of ink I should ask for? Epson ink into an HP cartridge?
Or should I ask for specific properties?
