View Full Version : That Life IV.........Bliss

So I woke up on Sunday just as the sun was coming up. My bride was sleeping beside me on the kingsize four poster bed, closest to the window. She’d kicked off the covers sometime earlier and was breathing softly beside me. The soft light was washing over her naked breasts and belly and I just lay there and marveled at what a magnificent sight it was. Naturally, it was my idea that she sleep on this side because my favorite light is a short light which creates a rim light and highlight with the shadow side towards me.

There is no more perfect sight in life than to wake up and behold what I was able to observe before me. Her chest rising and falling with her breathing and her exquisite body illuminated by the soft morning light.

She somehow felt me staring at her, as people instinctively are able to do, and smiled and pulled the covers back over her and turned away on her side. I snivied up behind her and we spooned and soaked in the womb- like warmth of each other’s bodies. Men will often become aroused at this time of the day, partly because the troops of Wiggly Company have been amassing at Checkpoint Charlie for the last 6-7 hours awaiting the order to deploy, and partly because their bed buddies will never look or feel better than they do right now.

Many women are not so inclined because they don’t think the whole bed head thing is all that attractive, and with no makeup and lipstick, please. In truth they are completely wrong. Because so much of life is not about what it looks like, it’s really about what it feels like. And there is no better feeling in the world than snuggling up with someone you love, or like, or just met, than that early morning body heat, soft warm skin and great lighting in perfect synchronicity.

I read once that some people actually go to bed wearing clothes. I’ll repeat that, because I know you probably think I’m kidding, but I read, that some people on this planet, as we speak, actually go to bed wearing clothes. Whether they wear them in the shower or not, I’m not sure. To me that seems a little strange. I know, some people have kids and are worried that their kids will see them naked and end up in prison or some mental institution, but I really doubt that seeing naked people has too much effect on anybody’s ability to cope.

I know that some people say they just aren’t all that comfortable with their bodies. Personally, I consider our bodies to be much like our car. It’s really just transportation for us to get around and experience the world. So my philosophy is keep it clean, wax it once in a while, get regular oil changes and enjoy it, cause you don’t get another one, at least not this time around.

We have an outdoor Jacuzzi here in paradise and when me and the Mrs partake, we wear a robe out to it, drop the robe and get in. If we have company over, we wear swimsuits in it. But it sucks. It feels like sitting in wet clothes or like you just peed your pants. And anyone who has ever been skinny- dipping will tell you, it rocks. You never want to wear a swimsuit again.

They’ve done tests and Olympic swimmers can go faster without swimsuits than they can with speedos. Granted some could experience problems with their rudder steering them into the next lane but that can be controlled with practice. Girl swimmers seem to have no problems at all. Maybe it’s just me but I bet that Olympic swimming would skyrocket in the ratings if they swam nude. The backstroke could overtake pretty much every other sport including ice dancing. Call me a traditionalist but I think the entire Olympics should be done naked, well the Summer Olympics anyway. Nude hockey may be dangerous. But the finely tuned bodies of these athletes would be a joy to observe. I’d probably even quit buying Spring Break Girls Gone Wild IV if that were available. Looking at nude pictures is one thing but being able to watch the exquisite bodies in action, takes it to a whole other level. Talk about supporting the Olympic movement. I’m in.

Lately on APUG we’ve had a few clashes of opinion on art/porn/erotica and which is which, and why. Personally I like it all. Sometimes you feel like a filet mignon and other times you want a dirty old burger.

When I was growing up back in the late 50s, early 60s my best friends brother had every Playboy Magazine since day one. We used to spend a fair amount of time discussing the articles and as I grew a little older I noticed that a lot of people stopped liking the over-lit, over posed and over retouched centerfolds and were drawn more to the college campus issues that feature ordinary girls posing semi nude. The reason was, that Playboy advertised that their centerfolds were the “girl next door” and while probably true, she was also untouchable. The college girls with all their little “flaws” seemed much more interesting and approachable, and probably more fun. The flaws are what make us human.

It’s interesting that when we wear clothes essentially what we’re wearing is a uniform. Business uniform, casual uniform, protest uniform, mod uniform or unapproachable uniform. But in fact they all succeed in hiding the real person. They say, “I’m hiding myself to fit in and conform”. Imagine, if the Nazis had marched down the street naked, instead of high leather boots, black uniforms and long black leather coats, do you think they would have been as scary.

I’ve never been to a nudist colony but I’m sure after the initial saluting of the flag, and the “hey you’re new here” greetings everybody would just settle down to a relaxed state of non- aggression. I’ve been to a nude beach and after taking it all in for a few minutes, it just became fairly ho hum. But don’t get me wrong, ho hum in a good way.

Anyway, not to belabor the point, I think that one of the most intimate and perfect moments in life is being naked, especially naked and spooning and cuddling with the human of your choice. And if they aren’t available, then with your mate. (Just kidding) To miss out on that would be a crime.

Hell, a good many of us will probably live long enough, to end up being stuck in some nursing home or hospital. Laying there all alone, and the only physical contact we’ll experience is someone sticking a needle in us. If our minds still work we’ll probably all be thinking back to the most perfect moments we had in life. If you’re like me, one of those moments will be watching our mate sleeping in all their glory with the morning light caressing their skin. Sadly while laying alone in that nursing home we’ll remember and know that we’ll never get to experience that ever again. We’d probably give anything just to be able to go back and spoon with our lover for a few minutes, to help cure us of this horrible skin hunger that is overwhelming us.

So my advice is, chuck the clothes, seize the sweetie, and hang on.
