I'm in again Art.

For anyone who lost out in the last round, I'd be happy to send them a print. If you want to provide the details Art, I'll send off a print.

I've already signed up for this one, but was wanting to know if anyone would be put off by receiving an 11x14 print for this exchange? I read in the "Sticky" that it is standard to send an 8x10, but did not know strict that is. I've been printing lately and have a 11x14 that is about ready to go----just wandering?

Chuck, I received a print (quite a nice print, too) for Round Five that was about 12x12. I didn't mind.

Are you kidding, I would consider it a bonus. Really it wouldn't matter to me.

I've received a 16x20" print, and will most likely be sending a 9.5x12" (24x30cm) print - unless I go for a contact print, in which case it could be any size from 5x7" to 12x16".

I read in the "Sticky" that it is standard to send an 8x10, but did not know strict that is.The 'norm' is indeed an 8x10, but if you read further, you'll see that many different formats have been exchanged. In essence, there are no 'rules' around format. Think of it more as a guide to help newbies like yourself. Whoever receives an 11x14 from you, I'm sure would greatly appreciate it.

Welcome to the exchange!

Regards, Art.

Hey Dinesh! Don't be a wus and join in the fun will ya. Watcha buy all that fancy equipment for? Oh wait ... this might constitute badgering and a lame excuse to renege on a committment - nevermind. :D Speaking of lame, where's that banana dude?

Regards, Art.

I'd like to participate again. I'll send my info again too, although I may be on file from an older round.

One question though, I was toying with the idea of sending a colour print, but it wouldn't be printed by me as my darkroom facilities don't go that far. Are lab produced prints (8x10) acceptable, and more importantly, consistent with the spirit of the exchange?

One of the labs I deal with still does up to 8 x 10 optically, so there aren't any problems with inadvertent digitalization.

Are lab produced prints (8x10) acceptable, and more importantly, consistent with the spirit of the exchange?Sure. Shot on film, printed on paper that is processesed in wet chemistry, ergo lab prints are analog too. Sort of. The machine does the wet darkroom work. Close enough.

A few days left to sign up ... tick, tock, tick, tock, tick, tock .....

Disclaimer: The above should not be seen as sad, pathetic badgering of APUGers to join the blind print exchange. If I wanted to you to give up free will, throw away your adult responsibilites, and drink the Kool Aid, I have other means. ;)
