Hi all-
I work here in the Loop, and am finding myself in need of motivation/inspiration/kick in the rump, whatever.
Any Chicagoans interested in something like a quarterly shooting assignment and meeting?

I'm not the most creative shooter here- terrible at trying to translate an "idea" to an exposure, so I'm hoping for something very specific- like, "The River" or "The El".
Maybe we can decide on a topic, and meet say, the end of April, and bring a couple of your favorite prints to show.

Anyone game?

I could be talked into it, but I'd want something a little less downtown-centric since I don't get down there all that often.

If your looking for something in downtown Chicago, then shoot some street photography. I need to pack some tri-x and a camera and get downtown sometime.

I'm not into assignments but a regular meeting would be nice. Something to force me to finish off some prints. Everyone just brings whatever they want to show and the others comment.

I'm all for anything (shootabout, get together or assignmet) to get the creative juices to thaw after all the frigid Chicago weather!

Possibly this should go in the "Regional" forum?
I would also be interested, depending on where & when.

Sounds like a good idea to me. I've always wanted to meet some
living, breathing film photographers!

Quarterly sounds about right. Please let me know if a group forms.
