Hi,

i am looking for a camera bag to hold my equipments in the street/field. I want it to be able to carry two rangefinders with 50mm lenses and a TLR. I personally prefer messenger bags so it doesnt look like a camera bag. I looked around and I found usually once a bag is designed "big", it goes really deep since most of them are designed for SLRs and what they mean big they mean it can hold telelenses.

I was looking at Domke J-803
http://www.tiffen.com/displayproduct.html?tablename=domke&itemnum=701-J83
and
tamrac adventure messenger 4
http://www.tamrac.com/5534.htm

I don't know if any of you has the same need as I do and have used these bags can kindly share some experiences. If you have other better bags please also let me know. Thanks.

If I carry a camera bag on my shoulder, my back gets screwed up by the end of the day. I recently brought a Tamrac pack that loads from the top not the side [back]. The ones that load from the back are excellent devices to dump all the equipment on the ground.

Search Tamrac for daypacks. I got the model 750 [or 752] and I can put a Hasselblad with 50mm, 80mm and 250mm lenses, a 120 folder, a Nikon slr with 28mm - 300mm zoom and 20mm to 35mm zoom, Nikon SB-800 strobe, flip strobe bracket, film, filters and other needless crap that I shlep in hope that maybe one day I will use it.

I sometimes wrap things up in Domke wraps and use my shopping bag I get from Trader Joe's

Small Billinghams (my favorites)

LowePro Slingshots (Frances's choice)

Vests (both of us)

We both shoot predominantly RF cameras.

Cheers,

I just bought a nice little Crumpler bag. I love it, but it is a bit small for the F5 (there are bigger sizes however). I also have the LowePro Slingshot 200 - it handles the F5 (although just barely).

That seems like a lot of gear... I thought you wanted minimalism?

Go to the store with your gear, otherwise who knows.

The Billinghams are pretty. I have a Velbon messanger-like "journalist" bag that I use for my Medium Format RF ALONE. But all that stuff sound slike a lot for a messenger bag.

Crumpler might be closer to your tastes, check out their website.
