ARGH!

I left my Pocket Wizard Plus on for over 3 weeks. Don't ask. Well, that killed it! Fresh batteries - nothing. Dead. No corrosion or anything, just won't turn on at all.

I've heard that leaving these things on for more than 48 hours requires me to send it in for repairs. Anyone else have this problem? I know the things have a 3 year warranty, but I was wondering if anyone was able to start these things back up after leaving them on for a long time?

Thanks, Art.

I've left mine on over the weekend and run down the batteries, but a fresh set took care of it. Good luck Art.

there might be some oxidation even without corrosion. clean the contacts before you send it in.

I had to send in my less than a year old receiver. They said not to leave batteries in, but there was no corrosion.
Fixed/replaced under warranty fairly quickly.
Then, same thing happened to my transmitter. They replced it with the transceiver so I got an upgrade. Now I always take the batteries out before packing up the kit.

They will fix for free under warranty but charge $15 for shipping that little twit...took about ten days for mine, but should be quicker for you on the east coast.

Sure sucked though to show up at a gig and have dead ones...
