Just a note to let you guys and gals know I'm getting ready to print a new batch of postcards. Receiving postcards sure helps get me through our cold and long winter.

Two went out today - something old and something new

The darkroom season is returning, I received 3 post cards in this mail this morning.

Nige, I like the image of the coastline and look forward to seeing more.

Frank H, Russian River looks to be a good location, I like the restful atmosphere that you've conveyed.

Silverpixel 5, The leaves are beautifully rendered and this is the sort of photograph I enkoy making.

I'll have to get into the darkroom in the next few days to make a batch.

I'm at work for a few days more, so I haven't seen the latest arrivals.

I'm considering whether to make 4x5" contact prints or "enlarge" at 1:1, or seeing if I can reduce 5x7" to fit on a postcard.

Then again I might do Lith prints, if I can get 30-odd sheets exposed before Christmas. ;)

I'm also working (but slowly) on a batch of van Dykes...

Glad you enjoyed the photo. I think you recieved yours before some people here in the states, as it usually takes 4-5 days to send my sister something in CA. :)

It's new year, and therefore I feel it's an appropriate time to resurrect the postcard exchange, which sadly seems to have dried up in the past couple of months (and I'm as guilty as anyone of neglecting it).

Should all members aim to get a postcard out before the end of the month? What do you think?

Ohh, and if anyone emails me and I don't respond straight away (withing a day), it's because I'm in the middle of changing email addy's and the APUG postcard one goes to my new one and I forget to check it regularly!

I think I need to make some sort of masking arrangement, so I can print these 4 to a sheet, just to speed up the process a bit. Anyone worked out a good system for this yet?

Cool, Aggie is send out autographed post cards..sounds like my house Aggie..there are paw prints on everything, including the humans in the house. May have to see if I have anything to print and sign up for this...do you just mail the photo post cards (ie - Ilford) or do most of you send them under seperate cover - to avoid the PO destruction?

do you have the 77mm lens to match that 40mm? Never seen either but if I win the lotto, I'm going to buy a LX, 40mm and 77mm sight unseen :)
