Well I was in the darkroom tonight and printed up two full sets of new pics. So the first set will be going out this week sometime. The next set in awhile.

So far I have gotten a card from Nige, and 3 from Aggie as well as 1 from Ailsa.

Got Les & Aggie's today, both look great. If this keeps up, I'm going to need a bigger cube at work! Coworkers all love them.

Eric,

I sent the last batch the day before I moved house and placed them in envelopes because they were digital and I did not think they would stand up to the abuse given by the postal system. I did not send cards to you and Ailsa because I just ran out of envelopes and did not have time to purchase more but I will send them next week when I return from the workshop that I'm leading in the next few days. I'm afraid the I will be sending digital images for a few weeks as my darkroom is still at my old home waiting to be moved, it is an 18ft by 10ft custom built wooden shed that will be lifted on to a truck by crane but overhead electricity cables have to be isolated before I can do that.

I do enjoy recieving the cards and thanks to you all for those I have gotten to date.

Poor Aggie she's being kicked out onto the streets. Another photo-street person. You'll just have to set up a darkroom at home.

On another note I have been experimenting with using my printer to print my notes on the back of the postcards. For any of you that have received my card you can understand why I don't want to print. My handwriting is just short of terrible. Not only that but after many years of using a keyboard my hand actually cramps now when I try and write. Now that's sad!

I have a Canon inkjet. It seems the ink just will not dry on this RC stuff. Have any of you any guidance on this issue? Besides getting a different printer - duh. I have a laser as well but I don't think the card stock will go thru it.

The other alternative is to buy packing labels and print out my little stories on those, then afix to the back of the card.

Such weighty issues indeed.

Eric,

Printing on self-adheasive labels is probably the easiest solution.

My next postcard is ready to send and this time Eric, you're on the list.

I let my test print sit over night and it still smudges! Sucks. So it's either labels or cramps. Cramps are cheaper.

I once printed (Canon S900 inkjet) on a transparency intending to use it as a enlarged neg for a cyanotype. After leaving it sit on the out-tray for a few minutes, I picked it up to inspect and thought.. gee that's funny, all the ink was slowly running down the page! Wasted a whole page of black ink and it never did dry! Don't think my transparency film was the right one!

BTW Eric, I could read your writing.. all one word of it http://apug.org/forum/html/emoticons/smile.gif

Big influx of postcards today... one from Norway.. thanks Ole!, one from England, thanks Ailsa (BTW, how do you pronounce your name?) and one from America (Aggie). Had to explain what 'it' was all about to a few more people!

Also, since I see lots of people are printing labels for address (gotta be easier than writing Les's address on there, or managing to spell those Norwegian addresses... oh, BTW, we have another postcarder from Norway), do you want a comma delimited ASCII version of the list (downloadable from the address list page)?

Nige,
Since I have problems fitting your address (not to mention Les') onto one postcard with my handwriting, a comma delimited list would be great.

Regards

Ole (of the unspellable address)
