Hey everybody,

I've been around here for some time but never introduced myself, so here we go. I'm Filip, currently living in Ghent, Belgium and in daily life i'm a taxi-driver. I started photography when I was about 19 years old with an old crappy Chinon rangefinder, after a year or so I tried the dark side (digital) but never had quite the feeling of holding a real camera so I switched back towards analogue and worked with a Minolta XD7 (XD11 in the US). Nowadays I work with a Flexaret VI (Love that machine) and the trustworthy Bronica ETRSi. Sometimes I enjoy using box-like camera's (Duaflex II, Kodak Hawkeye and soon a Ensign Ful-Vue) just because I like the old stuff, they have a different feel than new camera's.

As for non photographic things: (ok, you might find following thing kinda weird) I collect gasmasks, ranging from the First worldwar as well as present models and everything in between, I have about 300 different gasmasks in the collection so far. I like them because they look awsome and makes something of a thing from another dimension (although i'm not in the gasmask-fetish thing :) ). As for musical stuff I'm in for a lot of Industrial, Gothic, GothicElectro, Noise, EBM, Neofolk,... and I can be found a various Underground Parties in Flanders.

Well, if you have any question, feel free to ask.

Filip

Hi Filip, from the land of OZ. You should bolt a bulb flash on that Kodak Duoflex and shoot your customers..... yes, I know it's been done before but not with a box camera!
Cheers, Tony

Greetings Filip. Were you there to see Steegmans' and Boonen's one/two finish on the ninth?

Welcome from the Isle of Wight.

I have a Flexaret too although it has been on long term loan to a friend for the last three years.

Steve.

Hello Filip! If you are into analog photography this is the place to be. I was following you just fine.... even through the gas mask part. I lost you on the music stuff. Glad you joined us!

Cheers,

Bill

I've been thinking about that but I rather should have one without bulbflash because they seem to be harder to get by the day. It must have a boxcamera with a coldshoe and PC contact (don't know if it exists) for that, would make things easier.

Didn't had the change to see them finish but drove both of them to their hotel, quite nice guys if you ask me.

Well, my Music is quite underground, many groups are only known in the scene itself.

Hi and welcome! You might try Mr cad in London for flasbulbs? If it was made, they usually have it....somewhere (or try a popular online auction site).:):)
