It happens October 14 to 19.

Participants will be coming from both the US West and East coast, from Europe (and from China?)

This is the one to come to!

If you only participate in one workshop every 5 or 10 years you better come to this one! Youll have a blast. Its full of technical info, learning to look at photographs with a critical eye, great friendships and fun times!

Bummer I can't make it, I'll be returning from Australia/Fiji a few days before this begins. It looks like the place to be.

Well, we'll be there, but the week after....ah well.

We're doing a whirlwind tour - Death Valley, Owen's Valley, Bodie, and Yosemite. We're going to be busy :D

Can't wait to see all of these great photographers. I think the long over due Walnut 8x20 and it's companion tripod may have to come also! See everyone there!

Hello Per, Jim F and everyone...

I won't be able to make this trip (darn it, 'cause it sounds like a great one!). Getting ready to go to Maui the very next week and can't get any more time off from work...have a great time! I can't wait to see all the photos from this trip. Hopefully, I'll get some good ones in Hawaii.

Will there be another Joshua Tree trip early next year?

This workshop / gettogether could very well be our best ever.

The weather looks like it will behave - and with people coming from as far away as Washingon DC, Florida and Denmark it better behave!!!

There will be demonstrations covering cyano type (both with and without coffee), platinum printing, effective composition as it relates to content, infra red photography, etc. We will look at prints and learn about how to effectively frame / crop an image for maximum impact.
Those who want to try an Ebony 8X10 can do so too -
We will have great fun and good food, while establishing - and updating wonderful friendships!

Jim,

That'd be great! I learned so much just by being around everyone last time...

By the way, I picked up an Omega D5 enlarger this week...I knew you guys would pull me into the wet darkroom sooner or later!

Have a great time up there...

Per, it was very nice to meet you and the friendly crew, and to enjoy the wonderful scenery. Tomorrow I will begin processing 18 sheets of 5x7 velvia, another half dozen b&w 5x7 sheets, and about a dozen 120 rolls. I guess you could say it was productive.

And I just had a cup of tea from my official workshop mug ;)

Thanks again for organizing this!

Well, I did not make it to Sedona but I too brought an Omega D5XL with Rodenstock lenses.

The markings are worn off the voltage control/time box. Can someone tell me the units for each numbered dial and the switch on the bottom right?
