I've just acquired a Durst 1200 with color head and have a couple of questions.

1) Does anyone have an intruction manual for the operation of this enlarger or the link on the web for the manual?

2) I know some folks use the color head rather than filters for Multi-contrast paper. Could someone head me in the right direction for doing this, rather than my having to use the rather expensive trial and error method.

Thank is advance for you help. Bill Barber

a leaflet in included in most paper packs (ilford at least) that translates color filtration numbers into paper grades.

I downloaded most everything I needed for the L1200 CLS501 CH at one time, but due to computer problems have no access right now.

A filtration guide listing grades and color percentages (M&Y) is posted in my DR.

If you google search durst L1200 you'll come up with a lot. Start here on APUG as there are some threads for manuals (JD Callow had them in PDF)

Also try a search on the LF forum (www.largeformatphotography.info)

I have/had the manual scanned to PDF, but have been unable to locate it. I have sent it out to a handful of APUGers maybe one of theose folks could make a copy available.

I finally found my Durst L1200 manual. If anyone needs it and, is an apug subscriber, I'll email it to you. To those who had asked in the past and didn't receive a copy I'm sorry, please send me another PM.

Cheers,

jdc
