Great magazine with some great articles - more power to you! I was quite surprised at the flurry of childish whining your registration process has caused on the alt-photo-process site though: people complaining that they have to sign away their first-born; opinionated bores saying you should hide your head in shame; ridiculous legalese; etc, but also some very positive comments - it took one poor soul an hour to download, but she was very positive about the magazine.
Yeah, I saw the posts by Judy Seigel -- she and I had a pleasant email exchange regarding MC registration. I'm pleased she even noticed us! Think of her as a vociferous 60s radical. ;)
Anyway, thanx for the kudos. We look forward to chatting with some potential advertisers at PhotoExpo in NYC later this month.

It appears that Magnachrom will have some substantial publication delay. The article I wrote about the 14x17 Lotus was in two parts, with the second one scheduled for the next issue of Magnachrom.
With the agreement of Magnachrom's publisher I decided to put Part 2 on my site. Here I talk about ULF logistics, and my first experiences in contact printing, and the work I have done in the past two years on in-camera Ilfochromes, but this time on a ULF scale :)
You can find the entire article right here (http://www.1827.eu/Welcome.html)

Marco you mention I guess X-ray film? Where are you getting it in Europe? Do you know of a source of lith film like Freestyles?
You also mention cutting down 12x20 to 12x17. Why?

In part 2 he mentions using 12x16 with special snap in baffles for the 14x17 holder, maybe for 12x17 film he just doesn't use the end baffles. In any case seems like an interesting size. Great article Marco, thanks for posting the conclusion.

Thank you, Colin: now I can prove that at least _one_ person has read the article ... :)
... you are 100% correct: I tried the 12x16 holders (that I use for the 12x16 Ilfochrome paper, they are the 14x17 holders internally reduced to 12x16 in the way you so clearly describe) and I can fit a 12x17 film in them.
Nick, I can get some X-ray film from a doctor friend of mine, but I was unable to find an on-line supplier in Europe. I am aware of an on-line supplier (http://www.quadcityxray.com) in the US that sells 14x17 X-ray Fuji Film but I never tried it.
Has anybody ever ordered through Quad City?

I read the first parts months ago. I don't remember breakfast most days -))
When I tried discussing film with various US suppliers I got the impression they didn't like dealing with the border. That was just to Canada.
I guess I could fall down and try and find a cute doctor/nurse to help me. :D:D
