I am desperately looking for this nice Zone VI leather holster for my soon to be acquired pentax digitial spot meter. Calumet used to sell them, but not anymore it seems. Any idea, where to turn to ?

GM Bennett 09-18-2007, 05:18 PM I'm happy with the leather holster I bought here (http://www.photoformulary.com/DesktopModules/StoreProductDetails.aspx?productID=970&tabid=9&tabindex=2&categoryid=86&selection=0&langID=0) for my own pentax digital spotmeter. Good luck, Graham Sanjay Sen 09-18-2007, 05:30 PM Did you try to put a WTB ad in the classifieds here? I got mine from a fellow APUG-er through the classifieds. Good luck with your search! jgjbowen 09-18-2007, 06:32 PM This is one item I own, but seldom use. When I set up the tripod, I hang the wrist strap around one of the pan, tilt handles on he tripod head and it sits there until I either meter the scene or move the tripod. The wrist strap goes over my wrist wheneve I move the tripod. My holster is for the Pentax analog meter not the digital model, but I own both meters. Alan9940 09-18-2007, 06:58 PM The link Graham pointed you to is the only leather holster that I'm aware of for the Pentax digital spot meter. I have one of the old Zone VI holsters, but it is for the Soligor or Pentax analog meter and would be too large for the Pentax digital. Good luck with your search. JHannon 09-18-2007, 06:58 PM I have one I am not using and sent a PM to bonk. (Looks like I am packing a handgun when I wear it.. not good for the Boston area.) :) Clueless 09-18-2007, 09:04 PM  There are some down-sides to the holster. While you can often get a seat on a crowded trolly the police stop you and inquire about, "Why you are "shooting" the Statue of Liberty? and, Do you have a license to carry a concealed weapon?" Thus I have heard that it is easier and safer (can't fall out of the holster) to just carry the lanyarded meter in a pocket. |
