Okay, I've called the B&B, they have 7 rooms free at the moment (which I have provisionally booked), there is one possible wrinkle .... there's a wedding in the town on that night and the person I was talking to (Daughter of owners) is not sure if the owners will agree to letting all 7 rooms as singles. She will call be later or tomorrow. The rate is €55 for single room.

7 rooms could be a good thing as I may have to switch rooms during the night if the Guinness was good :p

Edit: had it in my head there was only 6 of us, D'oh, stuck with the same room so.

Okay, just heard back from the B&B, because there is a wedding taking place in the town the night we are there the owner is not willing to let the rooms for a single room price (€55), he has one single room (€55) and 6 doubles, the best price they will do for the doubles is €100.

I can see if here are any other B&B's in the area or another alternative is to pick another town/village to stay in. Let me know what you all think.

I'm easy, we can pick another village if you like or try another B&B. I've stayed in Lawlors Hotel in the town before, I don't know what they are charging. If you want help ringing round let me know.

I'll see if I can identify some other B&B's, could you give Lawlors a call to see what they have. I did check the Park Hotel, which I have used before but it's fully booked (that's probably where the wedding is being held).

Lawlors Hotel can do 7 singles at €60/room for B&B. They would want €100 deposit (for the whole lot). Let me know what you think.

I am so disappointed - it looks like I am going to have to cry off due to work. I was really looking forward to this and I'm too ticked off for words...
