Hello All,

I have formed a New Zealand company "Photocentric Ltd." and will be moving my websites under this umbrella company. All sites will now be a division of this company. This has been in the works for a while. Also, 2 new photography websites of mine in development will be part of this company. This has been done to protect me personally as previously everything was under a sole proprietorship. This will also allow me to streamline the managing of taxes, etc and allow me to rely on a blanket terms of service, privacy policy and help system across all sites. Within the next few hours the migration will kick in fully. The main thing you will notice is a new company wide header bar. I'm in the middle of rolling this out so will discuss more soon and answer any questions.

Thanks,
Sean

Unified site wide bar is now up on all sites. You can click the company name on the bar or click here to see the company home page and read a blurb about the new sites: http://www.photocentric.co.nz

I'll now be updating many links on apug and hybridphoto to point to the appropriate places (terms of service, privacy policy, contact/help links, etc).

Sounds like a very sensible move, and as you say puts APUG in a better and potentially stronger position.

I had this sinking feeling that APUG had been bought out, when I saw the new bar up there...but it's a very sensible move, from a business perspective. I look forward to seeing the new sites.

Just so long as you promise that we haven't been bought out by "DIGITALINDUSTRIESARETAKINGOVERTHEWORLD.com"! :o :D

APUG forums already are digital ;)

We need to purify and move to a typed and photocopied mailing list format.

Actually they are not. They begin and and analog. Digital is merely an intermediary for transmission.;)

I'm all for that; provided you pick up the postage costs.:)

The new bar at the top had me scared for a minute. Happy to read that it's your company and not just any company, Sean. Sounds like a sensible and logical thing to do.

So now that we're corporate, do the mods get cubicles?

No cubicles yet but I can setup personal goal sheets for you guys to fill out each quarter. No raises unless you meet or exceed your goals. I can also start saying "think outside the box" and "move forward' a lot more if that helps..

Get your ducks in a row, pick the low hanging fruit, the worlds your oyster. You can use them all!

Sean , sounds like a good move

Cool, we get to set our own? I see a fat, fat, FAT raise comin' baby...what's a 100% raise from zero anyways?

You're fun to watch Sean...I like dreamers who make their dreams real :)

What Sean has created here is a form of synergy, where the sum exceeds what has been brought to bear. If you collect the synergy and concentrate available resources, you achieve critical mass, thereby accomplishing the tasks at hand, and positioning the resources to meet future demand.

Whatever it takes, Sean. Best of luck.

I doubt it David, but maybe Sean will be providing you with some corporate goodies like the products available on Hybrid Photo? http://www.cafepress.com/hybridfoto.. OTOH, at least you won't have to wear corporate boxers or thongs with "Hybrid" on them! :D

I bet not, BUT, while on line you must be wearing a tie.

Does that mean I can't put my feet up on the desk anymore?

You can, but they must be impeccably shod. Preferrably in Italian shoes, freshly polished. :p

Quartely thread count up by 12.7%. Each forum is expected to reach it's baseline target. Business is really full of crap.
