Hello, everyone. Stumbled on APUG from Google, trying to figure out the differences between Hasselblad screens.

Grew up doing photography. Fell off it for about fifteen years, when I went into the Army. Stood on a mountain top in Bosnia, 2002, and couldn't believe I did not have a camera to capture the beauty. Been back ever since. Still dragging my cameras from deployment to deployment. Willing to give up chow in my rucksack to make room for cameras and film.

Moved from Nikon 35mm to MF (Bronica, Hasselblad, Yashica, Zeiss) to Polaroid (SX-70 and 250, as well as Pola backs for MF/LF) to LF (Graflex Crown Graphic). I still go between the formats, but consider bigger to be my preference.

Looks like a super community. I look forward to participating.

Take care.

Dan

Welcome,
Isn't it amazing that you can put photography aside for many years and then, one day with the proper inspiration, you realize that you are still really a photographer at heart?

It is a great community. Hope to see you participating regularly,

Dan,

Welcome to APUG from NYC (usually) but actually, right now, Tucson.

What can I say, just a wannabe snowbird still stuck in the working world!

Welcome aboard Dan.

Like you, I have assorted formats but tend towards the feeling that size does matter (when it comes to negatives anyway...). ;)

Have fun here, Bob.

Not unlike my own story. However, I never sacrificed food in my rucksack for camera and film. Instead I had a very cheap fixed focus 35mm (before disposables were widely available) that I would load with cheap 400 color negative. I would just stuff it in a pocket. It survived environments ranging from the arctic to Saudi Arabia.
