Will be great to get back into the darkroom again. 40 cards this time round, taken on my old Kodak folding Brownie - my God it actually works after 70 odd years!! (Of course it took me a while to figure out how to load it so that it winds on properly, so there's some slight fogging.) :o Have sent PM with my details. Cheers, Nanette rst 01-16-2008, 02:22 AM January is half over. I counted 46 participants. I made my grouping algorithm a bit more aware of the people willing to send the max. So people who signed in for the max will either send 43 or 44 cards. That is pretty much near the theoretical maximum reachable with this set. KWhitmore 01-28-2008, 01:15 AM I'd like to join in again...the last round was great! Could you put me in for 30 this time? Katherine rst 01-30-2008, 05:10 PM Hi all, one last time the updated list of participants. We are 52 participants right now. My test run of the groupings show a number of 48 or 49 cards for the people who signed up for the max. I will try to send out the address data on February 4th (my time) and I am 6 hours ahead of the US east coast. So if anyone who signed up for the max feels that the max might be too much, there is still time to correct ;) AdamKap Akki14 Allen Friday astroclimb bdial BirgerA Black Dog blackmelas Bob F. (It's not very heavy weight) LyndaHi Lynda, 53 is the final number and here is the final list of participants. I will post the address data on Monday. With the signup for hte MAX you will end up in a group of 47, 48 or 49. I changed the algorithm slightly so that the people going for the max end up in bigger groups than before and more cards will find their way. ciao -- Ruediger AdamKap Akki14 Allen Friday astroclimb bdial BirgerA Black Dog blackmelas Bob F. My cards are printed and ready for addresses ... :) Pete rst 02-04-2008, 04:42 AM Hi All, The signup is now closed and I am going to send out the PMs with the address data within the next one or two hours. Please have a look at the address list. The first address on your list should be yours. If you would please verify that this is the correct address? If it is not the correct address, please send me a PM soon so that I can send out corrections to all the people on your list. I am looking forward to this exchange. Usually I try to send my cards early, but this time I do not even know which negative I should use. But I have several in mind :) I will open a new thread to collect feedback for this round and I try to find someone to make it sticky on the top of the thread list. For the signup I was not heard by the gods, so this time I tried to behave well and maybe we will have more luck with it ;) ciao -- Ruediger rst 02-04-2008, 06:00 AM And here is the feedback thread for this round Postcard Exchange Round 13 Results and Feedback (http://www.apug.org/forums/forum179/46907-postcard-exchange-round-13-results-feedback-more.html). ciao -- Ruediger Akki14 02-04-2008, 08:22 AM rst - I have too many choices too. I eventually settled on one today and am working on getting it started... One question though, what do you write in the message section on the back to people you don't know? Just print info I guess?Hi Heather, I usually print my labels with information about the subject of the card and also some info about camera, film, developer etc. Then when all cards are labeled, I write some some personal comments for the people I know and some more general comments for people which are new to me by hand. Over time you get to "know" many of the participants and remember the many cards you received from them. Sometimes when you take a postcard out of the mailbox you will know without looking on the back of the card who has sent it. Have fun and ciao -- Ruediger gr82bart 02-04-2008, 09:20 PM Holy cow people! Is this exchange popular or what? One day, I hope to see the number exceed 100 participants. That would be awesome. Also on a side note, let's all send postcards to Sean, Simon (Ilford) and Mary Jane (Kodak) again this round if you have spare cards and/or just want to. I'll post the addresses in the other thread.
