I thought I would excerpt from an e-mail I received from Audrey Jonckheer, VP Worldwide Communications, Film Product Group at Kodak.

Finally, Mary Jane did share with me the postcards sent to her last quarter from APUG members expressing their tremendous support of Kodak films and appreciation for our ongoing commitment to film. We are very grateful to APUG members for such thoughtful postcards!
Have patience people and some very senior people from Kodak, not sales and marketing people, but senior executives who have the decision making power over the future of Kodak film products, will be on APUG soon to directly dialog with us.

Do they really want postcards? All mine are made with Ilford paper, chemicals and film.

Do they want mine? Mine are printed on an HP inkjet printer.

Sweet! I have been using TMY more and more for handheld stuff. It would be great if they show up here.

My understanding in talking with my contacts, is that Mary Jane, who is the highest executive in Kodak with respect to film products next to Prerez, is very appreciative of the postcards we sent her in the last Postcard Exchange round.

Sounds great! I know a recently deceased executive (a man, can't remember his name) with Kodak had made preserving the film side of Kodak one of his top priorities. Let's hope his wishes continue with those who follow.

Since Kodak is not producing paper, I think that sending postcards on Ilford paper may make them think about the fact they are on Ilford paper? ;)

However, I have been most unimpressed by Kodak papers for many years. Once in rich abundance dwindled to one decent paper if you ran a lab, but for art and workability to different processes it really lacked.

Art, that is good news, open dialogue is always better than no dialogue.

I'm happy that she appreciated the postcards.

I'm glad she got them. I sent mine in, but you never know.

For what its worth, I did use Kodak film. Ilford postcard paper and chems though...

I guess it will give me something to do with the remaining Kodak postcard paper I have.

Regardless of the brand we send them, that they appreciate it, and are willing to listen is good news.

Thanks to everyone for mailing those postcards and to Art for making the contact. Good news in 2008 already.
