I am considering entering the Foto 3 competition. The rules state the largest print to be 20x24 is size. I shoot 4x10 panoramic and was wondering if I could submit a panoramic equivalent in area or less that exceeds one of those dimensions. For example, a 20x24 print is 480 sq. inches. I would like to submit a 12x30 which has 360 sq. inches.
Perhaps you should change your specification of maximum print size to be no larger than 480 sq inches. This would provide flexibility for those who do not use standard size formats.
Thanks for your considerations.

I agree. A clarification for panoramic would be nice.
We'll get back to you on this soon. Thanks

Hi folks,
Unfortunately, we are going to have to stay with the 20x24 restriction. First, working with other sizes changes the way prints are laid out for judging and second, it makes the work of storing the art and getting it repackaged and returned more difficult.
We have two of the finest, most experienced photography jurists in the country doing the judging. They know and understand the size restrictions and it will n no way influence decisions. Print your work to the largest size possible and then mount it 20x24.

Thank you for the clarification Ted, much appreciated, and it makes much sense.
To be clear, if I printed a panoramic 24" on the long side, are you saying I would need to mount it to a 20x 24, or do you mean that the longest dimension of the display maximum be 24" such as an 8x24? It seems to me that giving up a foot of real estate that would just be nothing would be beneficial to the arrangement, and the viewing, but more than anything I just want to be correct in my layout for the display, if I enter a pan.
Thanks for all you guys are doing.
