hello all,
i just mixed up my first batch of sensitizer. i followed the directions. added B to A. and then added C to the AB mix.
i got particles floating around. is this okay? should i filter it? should i use it as is? i am planning to let it "age" for a few days.

thanks for the help.

Gunky particles are pieces of silver. This is common when making your own VDB solution, especially if you're using the green Ferric Ammonium Citrate crystals. Warm the solution up to 110F and add small amounts of Tartaric Acid while stirring. You should see the chunks of silver go back into solution after you add a little bit of the Tartaric; probably no more than a gram or two in 100ml of solution.
