Sure, go for it. With those electronic bodies, you need a spare.

I think it's a steal. I bought a like new N90s from ebay last year for about $70 and I really like it. It's a lot of camera for such little money.

I have 4 of them and love them. That's a good price. I have so many because I use them for underwater photography in a housing. If it floods, no worries just through it away and get another one. A fantastic camera all in all.

Plus, an N/F90 will let you use AI/AIS lenses (with some metering restrictions), which you can pick up just as cheaply.

Agree with all the other responders. I have one and I like it a lot. The built in electronic focus indicator is very handy when using the body with manual focus lenses. Metering restrictions are:


No matrix metering
no program mode operation
no TTL flash


You can still use aperture priority or shuter priority automation with spot or center weighted average metering. Natually, manual metered mode is also available. Autofocus is slow by today's standards, but that's no big deal for me.

Are you sure you can use shutter-priority automation with manual lenses? I don't think so. Only aperture priority and full manual with manual lenses, methinks.
