Do you intend to profile the people who will be judging the competition and display some of their personal work?

Steve,

Ann Wilkes Tucker and Michelle Dunn Marsh are among the most preeminent photo jurists working today:

Anne Wilkes Tucker has been described as America's best museum curator (Time and CNN). She founded the photography department at the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Texas, in 1976. Under her leadership, the museum's photography collection has grown to more 11,000 works. It concentrates on 20th-century photography and features the work of Edward Steichen, Robert Frank, Man Ray, Margaret Bourke White and Diane Arbus. It has one of the largest collections of Mexican contemporary photographs in the United States.

Her awards include the Photo-Eye Best Contemporary Monograph Award for "Toshio Shibata: Landscape," 1996; Golden Light Awards Book of the Year for "Crimes and Splendors: The Desert Cantos of Richard Misrach," 1996; Alumnae Achievement Award from Randolph Macon Woman's College, 1993; Bronze Apple Award at the American Film and Video Festival, 1987; International Center of Photography Third Annual Publication Award for "Robert Frank: New York to Nova Scotia," 1987; and John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship Award, 1983-84.

Michelle Dunn Marsh is an educator and advocate for photography and design. She has worked with the Aperture Foundation since 1996, and presently serves as deputy director of the Foundation and as associate publisher for Aperture magazine. For the last five years she has been responsible for Aperture West, a regional outreach program, and the Foundation’s presence in the west continues to be an area of focus. Her current responsibilities include working with the senior team at Aperture to provide strategic leadership for all mission-driven programs of the organization.
