Hello all.
As I am new to London, I've been wondering where can I get a good rate for professional films (Kodak Tri-X, TMax, 100VC, Fuji Velvia, etc) for both 120 and 135 formats. I've tried the local shop chains and am getting 3.99 quid for a 135 roll of TMax.
As I need to buy a lot of film I'm just wondering where can I get a good rate. Addresses and phone numbers will be great if you have them.
I appreciate this a great deal. Thanks a million :)
Warm regards,
vig

I used to visit Silverprint when I was living in London. Valentine Place, near Waterloo Station.
Their number 0207 620 0884.

Kodak stuff will be quite pricey. And everything in the UK is quite expensive... 3.99 isn't that bad of a price to me.

These people all work via phone and internet. They all offer better prices than generally available retail, a decent range of 120/220 rollfilm, and fairly quick delivery.

Hi,
There is this link which gives places where to buy film by location:
http://choose-film.com/?page_id=13
I use jacobs on New oxford street, if they don't have what I am after, I go to silverprint.
I chose not to buy film online, because I want to keep on finding film in those places that sell film.
Best

Delphine's suggestion of Jacobs (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=74+New+Oxford+Street&sll=51.524158,-0.111273&sspn=0.008171,0.018647&ie=UTF8&ll=51.517823,-0.12675&spn=0.008172,0.018647&z=16&iwloc=addr&om=0) is probably the most accessible retailer in central London with a good stock. Others are pro suppliers The Pro Centre (http://www.procentre.co.uk/procentre_home.html) near Old Street tube who can bike your order to your hotel if you pay by card, APUG advertisers Silverprint (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=silverprint&sll=51.524158,-0.111273&sspn=0.008171,0.018647&ie=UTF8&ll=51.508849,-0.103683&spn=0.065387,0.149174&z=13&iwloc=A&om=0)and) and then there is also Process Supplies (http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=13-25+Mount+Pleasant,+London,+WC1X+0AR&sll=51.516595,-0.128746&sspn=0.032688,0.074587&ie=UTF8&z=16&om=0).
Note that most, if not all of these places except Jacobs are closed on Saturday.
Have fun, Bob.

I know it`s not London, but have a look at 7dayshop in the Channel Islands.
http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/default.php?cPath=777
TMax 35mm 36 £2.09
Tri x 35mm 36 £2.10 etc.
Most of the film they sell is vat free so it`s dirt cheap. I buy all of my stock from them. Postage is a bit heavy at £3.95, but it`s the same for any order, so if you buy 15 or 20 rolls you save quite a bit.
Delivery can take up to a week, so they are no good if you are in a hurry.
I use them a lot & never had any problems.
Ken.
