I have "played" at photography since the 60's. Started with a Yashica TLR then a Canon AE-1. Moved to Pentax when my wife got one as a 30 year momento from Honeywell. Went to digatal with *istD then K10D. I am now getting back to film with a Hassy 500C I just bought from KEH.

Welcome to the APUG world Ed. You will find a lot of great people in here that love to share their camera and photo experiences and stuff. I used to live down in Cape Coral, FL back in the 80's, now living back in the cold cold northern wilderness of Indianpolis. Brrrrr. :-) Dont be bashful, just join right in and share your experience, or ask questions if you are trying to learn something new. And have fun too.

I grew up in central Illinois (LaSalle) so I know how cold it is!

I just last week sold my deceased grandfather in laws Yashica A tlr. It still worked fine, and I had ran a few rolls through it last year, but I didn't feel it was being loved enough.
It went to a young guy who wanted a meduim format camera where he was all the brains in the exposure, but with more control than his other MF camera - a Holga.
Glad you have found us - there are tons of great people to network with here.

I plan to have the Yachica TLR cleaned and take it out for a spin for old times sake. It is a 635 (35mm attachment). It is now just a "toy". The Hassy will be my real MF camera.
