Who's staying at the Hilton during the workshops / conference?

I made my reservations at the Hilton last week. Clearly there are less expensive alternatives if one is willing to drive and deal with parking. I find it worth the incremental cost to stay as close as possible to the event for logistical reasons and the Hilton is a nice place to stay. I want to take advantage of every opportunity to meet and interact with as many passionate photographers as possible. I made this decision even though I live about 60 miles South in Denver. I am confident that there will surely be plenty of sampling some of the locally produced fermented products. Lord knows I have many promises to follow up with in this regard.

Well, I'll be out there for 6 nights and I can't afford to stay at the Hilton for that long. I'd like to stay there, but it's just too much for my budget. The hotel I'm in costs about the same for 6 nights as the Hilton does for 2 nights. It's only about 5 miles from the Hilton and I will have a rental car for the entire week. If parking is going to be a problem I can just take a cab to the Hilton.

I'm hoping to stay at the Hilton, but I cannot do it until something is done about the rate (to extend the dates that it is in effect). So, I'm hoping that I can! :)

We are staying at the Hilton, arriving on 31 May. I am looking forward to your workshop, Nicole. (Oh, and bringing a belated birthday card and present from Canada).
The party can be anywhere, Vickie and I are there.

Jeaneatte: Sean posted a note yesterday that the Hilton is extending the rate backwards for people coming in earlier. If I knew how to put the link in, I would.

Jeanette, the Hilton has given us a small block of rooms, starting on Monday night, at the conference rate to accommodate folks coming i for workshops. We should be able to expand this block if all the rooms now being held are taken.

On a general note, everyone should remember that, at least for the moment, the conference rate is only good through the end of April. We're working hard to get them to extend it but this is fairly typical procedure for hotels, especially during their busy season.

there's a fantastic hotel downtown called the armstrong. it's not walking distance to the conference, but it is in the heart of Ft. Collins. i highly recommend the place.

We will be taking Bill Schabs course and Ted Harris course before the official conference. Good news on the special rate Ted.
