The DVD has been available for some time. The extended version includes gallery with commentary. In light of the upcoming Olympics, highly recommend its viewing.

Just remembered I had this...

'Bout 2 years ago, I took my Yashica TLR to his 'China' book signing in Toronto. Hand-held as steady as I could. Took one of him signing my copy and then asked him for another with some 'eye contact'. He looked right into the lens, not at me. What a pro!

I highly recommend this film to anyone interested in photography, China but more specifically the world we're making for ourselves -- heck, for anyone who is thoughtful or creative at all. It's absolutely fascinating and one of the best documentaries I've seen (even without an interest in photography).
The opening sequence alone is worth it...totally mind-bending.
