Last week , as all week , I go to my library to rent some book and disc. They always have some art to show and I ask them how to show in their space. They start by asking me some question about my work . finally they visit my flickr web page and this week when I met them again they just tell me that I have a show for 2months and half in their home and that they 'll pay me 400€ for that. I just find it cool and accept.

Just have to make the print as the exhbition will start 15th of june. ( Sorry in France)

Your photography definitely should be exhibited, even better if they can cover the costs!

Decent spaces do pay to show art, and usually (in the UK anyway) local authority galleries will pay a small recommended fee per week/month, it's agreed somewhere or other :)

I'll keep you inform and will take some picture of the exhibition. In fact I just ahve to make the print if some need to be matted , they will do it for me and they will buy some frame to put them in . So I've just got to do a great presentation to sell some more. It happens in a small french town but it 's really a nice place to show.

I think it's great that they pay you. Over here in the US the photographer often has to pay... in various ways and numerous ways.

Here in France most photographer show their work or free or may pay as you wrote in various way. that's why I was quite surprise when they told me that they'll pay me for exhibiting my work. It change a lot of thing in my way to organise and think exhbition./

It is a quite luminous place in the library. a 30 meter long Wall in front of the same in Window. but things are well protected from light with some trees outside.
the interest of being showed here is that it is one of the most important cultural place . Any one interested in culture come here. They show some photographer and painter. Some exhibition are interesting, other boring, but the space is nice.

That's great -- let us know where it's happening. I'm on the other side of France (in Nancy) but I plan on heading out your way (I think) in June when classes are finished so maybe I can see it!
