Yes, the 4x5 Kodachrome slides from WWII are really interesting.

I've had it bookmarked for a while now. Every couple of days I visit there and immerse myself in the distant but seemingly familiar and vivid past. Ain't pitchurs wunnerful!!??

Another great site for vernacular/vintage photography is Square America:

I like this site because it is true vernacular, snap shots from regular folks. I don't know what it is about this one but it is as addictive as crack.
