Hi,

Well the title of the site sounds very promising (hence why i've joined) as I've moved away from Digital and now use only 35mm film, B&W to be precise, HP5 to be more precise.

Looks like there's a lot of information around here, i guess i'll start at the top and work my way down.

Kev.

Thanks for the warm welcome, certainly wasn't expecting so many replies and so soon.

I'm in Ayrshire, Peter.. I head into Edinburgh most weekends and into Glasgow once or twice during the week to attempt Street Photography (operative word being "attempt").

Welcome from a fellow countryman living in middle England. If you do decide to start at the top and read through everything then do keep in touch occasionally. Otherwise there's so much to read, we might not hear from you for months!

Head for Gorgie Road( now called little Lithuania) and give my best to the Jambos.

Welcome in, Kev. Always room for another who "attempts" street photography.

Welcome, from a Scot (two generations removed) living in Canada. I got to your beautiful country (I was tempted to call it "ours" there) last September for the first time and will assuredly be back.

You're telling me! i've been in the B&W section reading loads of stuff already, great info.

Ah, seems the summer weather has hit us, been a great day and i spent it in Edinburgh taking some snaps. Met Darth Vader on the street, took a snap and he tipped his hat (well, top of his head lifted off lol)

Hello from Edinburgh - enjoy APUG. It's a great place and full of interesting info.

Not long until festival time in Edinburgh, so plenty of opportunities for street photography ahead...!

Cheers,
Gavin

Kev,
I think here (APUG) you'll get better feed back on your photos than over there, they just don't "get it" over there.

Well yeah constructive criticism seems like it'd be readily available on here. I've paid my subscription but my PayPal takes a week or two to transfer funds from my bank, but once i'm a fully fledged subscriber i'll put up a few. Got another two developed today. First time i've pushed HP5 to 800 and i'm happy with the way they turned out as i wasn't sure what to expect.
