This guy and some high explosives should do the trick, along with a pipe wrench, of course.. elekm 06-13-2008, 06:25 PM Generally, you must remove the face ring. But it depends on the lens. If it has slots, you can use a spanner wrench. Otherwise, you can use a rubber plug. However, some lenses aren't easily disassembled and require special tools. Tony df cardwell 06-13-2008, 08:53 PM Sheldon's Tork-Grip also functions as an inertial impact alignment tool. As for cleaning the lens cells, the diaphragm, and collimation, it is next to useless. I would vote to send a more modern lens to DAG, Essex, or Youxin Ye or other experienced person for cleaning. I would not take apart the newer Leica lenses. |
