Was supposed to be helping out at a Bazaar with my nephew and his Mum in a local retirement home today but couldn't because I was laid up most of the day with a migraine.

My 10 year old nephew called tonight and told me he'd bought an old camera while there, for £1 (one pound). Ten minutes later we're on Skype and he's showing me a mint condition Kiev 4a complete with Jupiter 8M (wearing a skylight filter) and immaculate case.

I'm going back to bed. :(

You mean to tell me you would have out bid your 10 year old nephew on the camera! Shame on you;)

If he wants to make a good healthy profit I'll give him £2 for it, thats very fair he'll double his money and youn won't have additiona headaches teaching him how to use it . . .

He's done very well those Kievs fetch reasonable maounts on ebay, and are very capapble cameras. Make sure he vuses it prperly.

We have come to an arrangement... I'm loaning him my Praktica BX20 so he can learn using a metered camera. If he likes it and gets on with it ok, he'll keep the BX20.
