Ian Grant 07-22-2008, 05:50 PM I made my glass inserts for my Durst enlarger from some outdated FP4 glass plates I bought in 1976 or 7. They are still perfect 30+ years later. Extremely eay :D Ian Jon Shiu 07-22-2008, 06:01 PM Hi, check out focal point: http://www.fpointinc.com/glass.htm Jon Bob Carnie 07-23-2008, 08:36 AM I agree with Jon , these are great people to deal with . All my glass is purchased from them, in fact there is a dealer of glass 30km from me but I prefer to use these people. Hi, check out focal point: http://www.fpointinc.com/glass.htm Jon Rolleiflexible 07-23-2008, 09:54 AM Focal Point. They are great. Jersey Vic 07-23-2008, 10:17 AM Thanks for the positive reinforcement. I've never used a glass carrier before. What are the benefits of Anti-Newton glass and should I buy 2 sheets of AN or 1 AN and 1 'non AN' and which should be on top? Rolleiflexible 07-23-2008, 11:03 AM Most emulsions will not create Newton rings against plain glass. (Tech Pan did and there may be others, but it's not an issue with the Foma and Tri-X films I use.) But the film base surely will. So, you can probably make do with one sheet of plain glass, and one of ANG, depending on your film of choice. Jon Shiu 07-23-2008, 11:57 AM Hi, the AN glass would go on the top only. Plain glass below. Jon |
