On july 31st, it was reported that Claus Prochnow passed away, aged 78.
Very sad news, and a huge loss of a very unique source of photo/camera information and history.
Claus Prochnow was an engineer, and one of the leaders for the developement team for Rollei.
He has later on published many books about Rollei and Voigtlander camera systems and accessories, and his work through his books is a fantastic aid for all of us that loves, collects or uses Rollei and Voigtlander cameras.
Unfortunately, I don't know much about the rest of Claus Prochnows life and achievements - but I sincerely hope that the combined knowledge of the users of APUG can result in a profile of Claus Prochnow on Wikipedia as a small honour in his memory.
