Who would be interested in attending a large format symposoum in Salt Lake this fall. It will be hosted by Wasatch Photographic and taught by a few local LF shooters. The first one will be very basic geared to those interested in LF and just new to LF shooting but everyone is welcome. The workshop will include classroom and hands on instruction with emphisis on answering any and all questions about LF. Workshop will be Open Forum meaning anyone can ask or answer questions. More workshops will be held at later dates to cover more advanced topics with in depth coverage. Robert Hall 08-04-2008, 04:57 PM I thought Elvis had left the building there, no? raucousimages 08-04-2008, 06:28 PM Ken sold to Paul and Robert who owned Far West. They want to support film and LF. There are about 5 ro 6 LF cameras in there right now. They want me to spear head the idea of a symposium. I was going to talk to you, Jason and a couple of others about teaching it with me. Robert Hall 08-04-2008, 06:37 PM I would be happy to help out. JBrunner 08-04-2008, 07:02 PM I'm not very smart, but I can lift heavy things..... yardkat 08-04-2008, 08:27 PM I'd attend, assuming that I can attend not owning LF at this point, but interested, and that of course I don't have to work that day. raucousimages 08-04-2008, 10:34 PM This first time is for anyone interested or just new to LF. You dont need a camera. We will be starting with the very basics. yardkat 08-05-2008, 02:33 AM Sounds just about right, then.
But I'm not that smart, and I definitely cannot lift heavy things. Also, not that great with opening jars, either. ;) Robert Hall 08-05-2008, 10:03 AM I'm not very smart, but I can lift heavy things.....
That's why we love you, big guy.

Who would be interested in attending a large format symposoum in Salt Lake this fall...
I am inerested, if it doesn't conflict with my travel schedule.
Alan Fred Aspen 08-11-2008, 06:01 PM Great idea! Anything that helps keep film in the SLC marketplace. Put transparency material in the lesson plan and keep Nichols around.
I'd be interested but I did the LF thing back in the 70s and 80s. Got the Tee shirt too!
These days it's 35 and 120, sorta what Ansel did when he got up there....
-Fred raucousimages 08-12-2008, 12:31 AM When Ansel was asked what camera he used he would say the bigest one I can carry. He shot some great work with 35mm and 120. |
