And do I really want to know...? rob champagne 08-06-2008, 06:06 PM It's a dainty little sponge cake possibly covered with icing. Served at all the best tea parties, usually at 3 o'clock. Possibly not something you've ever experienced. Still, let a few lads loose with a plate of them and look what they can do... fschifano 08-06-2008, 06:07 PM Ok, so if my friends decide to jump in front of a moving train, does that mean I have out chcken them? No wait, I might get hurt. I don't think so. papagene 08-06-2008, 06:09 PM  That's about all I've got to say!! gene Stephen Frizza 08-07-2008, 04:57 AM Fairy cakes are also known as butterfly cake or angel cake. it is a small cup cake sized sponge of which the top is cut and then halved. the remaining cake is covere with creme and the two top halves placed into the creme like wings. the cake is then dusted with a light icing sugar. Its is Delicious makes me so happy. please see my links for fairy cakes. http://www.laura-homemade-cakes.co.uk/homemade-cake-photos/homemade_butterfly_cakes.jpg http://www.dkimages.com/discover/DKIMAGES/Discover/previews/1544/11688310.JPG see how could you turn down a mouth full of fairy cake hehehehe ~Steve cmo 08-07-2008, 05:51 AM Probably it was the french version of a fairy cake... it contains only ingredients from the Tricastin area at the river Rhône where numerous accidents at the nuclear power plant have contaminated the soil and groundwater. If you like those costly french truffles, most of them are from the Tricastin area... and know you know why they are black, (but they glow at night) and why they are so big this year. The power plant and nuclear dump are just 20 kilometers away from the Volvic source-spring. Santé, mes amis! :munch: Stephen Frizza 08-07-2008, 05:57 AM I love truffles too hehehehe. um I've been thinking a lot about fairy bread YAY for fairy bread!!!! http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/5b/Fairy_bread.jpg/800px-Fairy_bread.jpg Andy K 08-07-2008, 06:31 AM If you like those costly french truffles, most of them are from the Tricastin area... and know you know why they are black, (but they glow at night) and why they are so big this year. Did you know what the French are doing on their side of the channel? http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&saddr=Plymouth&daddr=Beaumont-Hague&hl=de&geocode=&mra=ls&sll=51.22579,0.301535&sspn=4.926883,13.227539&ie=UTF8&ll=50.159305,-2.815247&spn=2.519853,6.61377&z=8 What happens if you discharge some interesting stuff into the English Channel? In Beaumont-Hague is the french nuclear reprocessing plant... there is a french master plan, because they need more truffels for their cuisine :D But maybe you can also dig for massive mushrooms in Winfrith? Even for a Lounge discussion I am really off topic now, forgive me, I had some mushrooms from Amsterdam :o |
