View Full Version : Big Outage + Server Migration
Hi All,
Sorry about the unscheduled outage. I had planned to move APUG to our new server in a week but plans changed. My coder was going out of town tomorrow for 3 weeks. I like to have him around for such a big move to help me troubleshoot any code issues that arise. I decided to move the server right then as his day was free, rather than miss the opportunity to have him around. It's turned into a marathon ordeal and an all nighter. I think we're ok at this point but the server still needs some performance tweaking. Please report any bugs to this thread so I can have a look.
Thanks! and phew..
Sean

I'm so glad Apug is back! I was going through some serious withdrawal....
No issues to report so far.

The edit: Ignore comment originally made here. Just "found" what was "missing." Only thing "missing" seems to be my mind. ;)

Is everything here?
Any huts and bolts missing?
How about the children? Are all the children here?

Is that in gallery or uploading attachments? Thanks :)

Uploading an attached jpg to a post. It is a repeat image from a prior post that came up again on sulfur gold emulsions.

I was initially unable to log in using Firefox 3.0.1 under Ubuntu Linux. I tried Konqueror and that worked, so I quit out of Firefox and tried again. It began working. I therefore suspect some strangeness with cookies. I mention this mainly as information for anybody else who might have the same problem.

That seems to have gone extraordinarily fast and clean (from our side - no doubt a suitable amount of panic your side!).
Slightly shorter hop to Chicago than to San Antonio (or wherever the R/S datacentre is) from here - saves me about 15ms ;)...
Cheers, Bob.
