i stumbled upon this through looking at an artist website and wondered who was doing his hosting. it turned out to be doteasy.com (http://www.doteasy.com/Services/WebHosting/Zero/) . i'm pretty naive when it comes to the web ( i once typred my mobile number in when prompt =( so was wondering if there's a catch to this.

Just ensure you can keep a local copy of your site which could be moved to a different host if needed. It sounds like they run proprietary applications which I would stay away from..

Stay away from doteasy.com this is the worse hosting ever. First of all they are some crap chinese business located in canada. Hard to reach and almost no support for their members. I had a terrible experience with them 4 years ago. try doteasy.com.au it's a local Australian company and it is not affiliated with them in anyway, in fact they are sueing them for using their company's name and trademarks without any permission, it's all over the internet. Since then i've been dealing with doteasy.com.au and never been happier, so watch out! :)
