Roundwood is fine but I think the B&B's are a couple of kilometers outside the village. Walking distance, but not staggering distance perhaps!

Laragh has Lynham's Laragh Inn, the Wicklow Heather restaurant and reasonable B&B's within easy walking distance. You could just stay at Lynham's Hotel to the rear of the Inn.

Cloughlea is a short drive over Sally Gap (via Glenmacnass waterfall).

Andrew

There are a couple of B+B's in Roundwood itself, Lynham's in Laragh is very comfortable though, and the bar usually has a bit more atmosphere. It also stocks Redbreast whiskey!

I decided it was easiest to just ring the Lodge.

They said at the moment there are rooms available for that date and being their "Christmas party night" the bar will be open anyway.

That means we could have the location we wanted with a bar... all in falling distance of our beds.

I'll retire to my own bed that night as I live nearby.

It has always been the Friday night for staying over. The few pints help lubricate the body for the next days shooting :D

I count The Fizz, Melball, Sile?, Fintan & Tex staying on Friday night and Eddie , Peterev, and Droog joining us on site on Saturday. Is that how you read it?

Cheers

Wouldn't mind coming along, sorry for late reply. If there's a spare bed the Friday night I could join you on Friday for a few drinks? otherwise I could meet you the Saturday morning

Martin ,
I don't think anyone has made reservations as yet. I'm waiting for confirmation from everyone before I enquire. So you are more than welcome to join the party at this stage.
If anyone has already booked please let me know asap.

Cheers
Vincent

New to Apug, can I join all you film people on the 6th Dec. Shouldn't take me too long to get there on the morning so won't be staying over. I know Eddie (Monosnaps) and have bumped into Vincent at the exhib in airfield a few weeks ago and have been to a number of courses given by The Fizz. regards Brian (Mops) email durneybt@eircom.net or bdurney@eircom.ie

Vincent yes, I'm also on for the Friday night, I think that means we should all go ahead and book and then perhaps post here when we have?
Martin and Brian great to have you along too..
This looks like it's shaping up to be a good one :D
