Here is the plan for January.....

Film Crawl - Houston Metro Rail corridor

Jan 24 (Jan 31st alt)
Market Square/Hermann Park/Dancing Fountains (Main @ Holcombe)

Remember shooting pictures at a relaxed pace?
Do you have a film camera you miss using because the rest of the world started moving too fast?
Well this is the meetup for you!

This outing will be a slow paced shoot of areas near the Houston Metro Rail for film photographers.

The following is a ROUGH itinerary.

10:00am - Noon Meet up / Shoot in Market Square area
Noon - 1:00pm Lunch (Market Square area)
Transit via Metro Rail
1:30pm - 3:30pm Shoot around Hermann Park reflecting pool & Japanese Gardens
Transit via Metro Rail
4:00pm - Daylight lasts Shoot at "dancing fountains' corner of Main & Holcombe.
Suggested dinner & print review @ Star Pizza

*-> Add 'ish' to the end of all above times. <-*

Locations along Metro Rail Corridor subject to change as better ideas surface.

Additionally: I have sent an email to Rice University asking permission to shoot on their campus.

This outing will take place on the alternate date due to precipitation or excessive cold.
(Remember: It's hard to get a sharp image when you are shivering!)
When RSVPing include what you consider as the minimum, forecast daily high at which you will participate.
The outing will be bumped to alternate date if the forecast high excludes more than 25% of participants.

And a link to the Texas Photo Forum...

Merry Christmas, Y'all!

Darn. Will be staying in Houston on the way to the inauguration. Close, but no cigar.

Either date is fine for me. I might be downtown a bit early to shoot at the fountain over at Wortham Center - it's been taunting me for months now!

I will be doing my part to keep film alive by exposing some on this event.

We had a great bunch of people at our first meeting so I am looking forward to it!
Everyone is invited!

Say Wayne,

I wasn't paying attention to the day this shoot is. I'll most likely be busy until 12p. Perhaps I could meet up with y'all for the balance of the day's activities. I see by the itnerary that y'all be in the Market Square Area. Maybe I can give you a ring to find a good rendezvous location?

Only problem is, I got several numbers stored in my phone from around when we talked and I don't know which is yours. Can you give me a ring or send me a PM?

PM sent. Give me a shout on Saturday.

Clay Harmon: Will you be able to join us? Perhaps for lunch if you don't have time for photography? I would like to meet you and discuss Alternative Processes.

My cell number if anyone is looking for me: NineZeroThree-TwoFiveEight-ZeroEightZeroNine.

See Y'all tomorrow.

Hey, there's free public wi-fi in Market Square. How cool!

Nobody else is here. Too cold for everyone? :P I'll wait around a bit more, and then I'm off to the Wortham for some fountain images.

Sorry some of you missed us. We'll do a better job of getting cell phone numbers out to everybody.

Desite the nasty weather, it was a great 14 hour day. I even managed to delvelop my sheet film from Saturday last night.
