I'm intersted in locating a supplier for ferric citrate as i'm intersted in using Liam lawless's contrast control formula for VDB as mentioned in Post-factory no.8...that article mentioned www.tri-esssciences.com as a source but i just got email from them saying they dont have it...artcraftchemicals/bostick/photoformulary dont have it either..any ideas?
TIA

Try

Not sure it's on the list. At worse ask him about it.

Found a thread of conversation between Sandy King and Monnoyer Phillipe regarding this.
sodium citrate + ferric chloride = ferric citrate + salt.
You need to determine what concentration you want, but sodium citrate is obviously readily available (or easily made as well) and ferric chloride is an etchant you can by at any electronics hobby shop.

I ended up getting the ferric citrate from bryant laboratories. Mark at bryant is an alternative process guy and was extremely helpful.
