I want to take this time to thank everyone at APUG for their contributions to promote, encourage and teach about traditional photography. I am not aware of any other source on the web were there is a more engaged group of people.

The increasing worldwide scope of the site should be a source of pride to everyone as well as what seems to be a steady number of people coming to the site who want to get back into traditional photography or expand their experience to other formats or processes. Photographers have always seemed to be a sharing bunch when it comes to art and craft, and I am always proud to suggest APUG as the #1 source for any photographer I meet.

Currently we have a traveling portfolio, two different print exchanges, an up coming alternative traveling protfolio and several members have been represented in various publications in the past year, and some coming up in the next couple of months. A great gallery for showcasing work of members and a print magazine is in the works. Who knows what else the new year will bring.

We have a wonderful cross section of experience, approaches and philosophies toward our craft which is evident from the lively discussions in various forums.

I have learned much over the past year, and look forward sharing knowledge and experiences with all of you in the new one.

Hear hear!
Well said and I agree that this has to be the best photo site on the web.
Lets hope that it grows from strength to strength in 2004.

Thanks to all concerned and involved

When I look through the contributions to APUG and see the endless depth and variety of threads and posts that are merely _'limited'_ to the subject of analog photography it amazes me that photo mags and sites insist that it is imperitive to their very survival to cater to the additional and superficially related topic of of image production by digital means.

You guys are the best :)

The gal's ain't bad either.

It is a good list. It deserves the accolades it receives. The membership is truly unique and a special breed. I'd like to thank Sean and all the Administrators.

Well said Jim. I have been learning from this site from the day I joined. I have been in a slump for what seems like years and now through things like the print exchange, and the different forums I have a new interest in shooting and printing just like I'm starting new again. The more I learn the more I realize how much more I need to learn.
Thanks to everyone for your contributions, as well as Sean and the other Administrators for doing a difficult (at times) job for the benefit myself and the rest here.

This forum has got me started with printing again, with alternative processes, with home-made chemicals, probably made me take 10 times as many pictures as I would otherwise, and all in all helped me a lot.

Hope this year is at least as good :)
